ED451: Enabling Dreams Reflection

Watching the video “Enabling Dreams” brought joy to my eyes. Knowing that technology is very beneficial for not only everyday people but also most especially those with special needs. We, as teachers tend to forget that we may need to revise our lesson plans to accommodate students with special needs. I believe that lesson plans should be revised to include special needs students due to the fact that we have to remember that it is not as easy and simple for them to complete their assigned tasks or to even comprehend the same way our average students comprehend. Being in the classroom, I would probably revise my lesson plan concentrating on the instructional methods, media, and materials being used as well as how to the assessment part. I would like to use technology as an everyday thing in my classroom. However, if I were to teach within the government, having computers, printers, Internet, and projectors in the classroom for all students would be a dream. Shall I repeat to myself “keep on dreaming?” Furthermore, if funds were available on my part, I would like to provide at least a projector, computer, and printer for those students with special needs.

  1. Hi:
Hopefully, in one of your classes you will learn that when children need AAT devices, there are NO excuses for not supplying them. NONE!

Please be an advocate for those students. They will need you.
